Professor Joshua Moshonov

In 1979, Professor Joshua Moshonov graduated from the Hadassah School of Dental Medicine to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. In 1989, he completed his speciality training in Endodontics at the same faculty.

Professor Moshonov is Head of the Department of Endodontics to Hadassah School of Dental Medicine to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He was also a director of the student endodontics programme for many years.

Professor Moshonov is a former chairman of the Israel Orthodontic Society, member of the National Board of Endodontics and a former member of the national examination committee of dental medicine to the Ministry of Health in Israel. He was also Chairman of the Jerusalem branch of the Israel Dental Association and Chairman of the Israel Specialty Board of Endodontics. Currently, he is a member of the Scientific Council of the Israel Dental Association.

Professor Moshonov is also a member of the editorial team of “Refuat Hapeh Vehashinayim”, the Journal of the Israel Dental Association, as well as a member of the editorial team of the British journal Endodontic Practice. Professor Moshonov is author and co-author of many scientific articles, and is often invited to give lectures in Israel and abroad. His current research is focused on new technologies implementation in dental medicine and more specifically in endodontics, as well as laser implementation in dental medicine.

Together with Professor Oded Nahlieli from the Barzilai hospital, professor Moshonov has recently developed an endoscope for dental application that is mainly used in implantology and endodontics.

He manages a private practice in Tel Aviv, Israel, which operates in the field of endodontics exclusively.
